What does it mean to become God-conscious? As I mentioned previously, God’s presence became such a reality to me over the course of this adventure-journey that I was often aware of His closeness - that He was never far away but always close to me. Imagine you are with your beloved at a romantic dinner and you’re listening to beautiful background music. You’re enjoying the mood of this special moment together. If you hear this same music again, possibly in a shop or in town, you are reminded of that special, romantic moment. Personally, that is what it feels like to be God-conscious. Although for me it’s not just a pleasant memory, but it is a now moment - God is here for me, He is not far but very, very close.
